Pricing

As every search is different Families-in-Time charges an hourly rate plus expenses. We will discuss your requirements with you in advance, so we can tailor the research and the costs to suit you.

If you want Families-in-Time to conduct a search for a birth relative a deposit of £200 will be requested. You will be contacted by telephone or e-mail approximately two weeks after your instructions have been received, with a progress report. Your birth relative may already have been located by then but, should further research be required, we will discuss it with you in detail at this time.

It is never possible to predict how much it will cost to locate a birth relative as each case is quite unique. However, if you can provide us with complete and accurate, details, and if your birth relative is resident in the UK, the search is likely to cost somewhere between £250 and £350. It will take longer and cost extra if the search involves a common surname, or if your birth relative has emigrated, divorced, or died.
